Preowned Sculpture by Alexsander Danel "Walking Panther". 

Sculpture stamped & signed; "Austin Sculpture 1998" "Danel".

Sculpture with some wear, chips and scuffs that could easily be repaired or retouched. Wooden base with dings around the edges.

Sculpture measures;  11"  long x 5 1/4" high. Base measures; 12" long x 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" deep 

Alexsander Danel the sculptor was born in 1940 in Estonia. He graduated from the Moscow Industrial Arts School and another school Moscow Fine Arts Academy. He had won awards because of his monumental work commemorating Russian wars history. 
He settled in New York and had received commissions for Rockefeller Plaza and Radio City Music Hall. He was the principal sculptor for Austin from 1981 until he died in 2001.
