Vintage  Indiana University Bookends * Lux Et Veritas 1820.
 
Beautiful elegant pair of vintage Bookends featuring the trademark of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
 
This Seal of Indiana University shows an open Bible with radiations above, and the words “Lux et Veritas (Light and Truth),” and in a circle about this the words “Indianensis Universitatis Sigillum”, MDCCCXX (1820).
I'm not sure if the bookends are made of brass or cast-iron.
 Bookends with green felt on side and bottom and in good vintage condition.
 
Each bookend measures; 6 1/2" inches tall x 6" inches wide.
 
Very heavy bookends; each one weights almost 6 lb.
