 Vintage Burnished Terra Cotta Pot/Urn/Vase.

Belonged to the Charcas family in Arriaga San Luis Potosi in the 1600s. The story told was that Archie was a father of 20 children, and he only had this one vase to carry water back to his family after a 10 mile walk every morning. One day as he was walking back from the well, with mere steps to get to his home, Archie tripped and broke the vase. The legend says that Archie cried and tried to collect all the pieces of the vase, but the earth entrapped the broken pieces of terra-cotta and a fresh crystal clear water well was formed. Archie didn't have to walk so much any more to get water for his family.
